Every Wednesday, our honorary member Supa Nova holds an event called Dub School. Apart from keeping the musical traditions alive, it is also a meeting place for artists, foreigners, inner city communities and elders. One night, Adabu was able to meet Kerry-Ann Manning, the daughter of Glasford “Porti” Manning. He was the lead singer of “The Jewels”, who gave us great songs such as “One Lick” or “Love & Livity”.

Kerry-Ann told us that her father turned blind and had to leave the little cottage he was living in in the hills of Kingston. He is in dire need of support, so we left a small dontion with Kerry-Ann and decided to raise more funds for this veteran singer (see also Projects).
